Interesting 2024

I went to Interesting 2024 at Conway Hall last night with Andrew.

From taps, to dust, to lying in politics, to composting, to matcha, there was much to be interested in.

It was a very pleasant room to be sat in. A good atmosphere. Convivial. Encouraging. Not at all like many other events you can find yourself in, especially when populated by ad-design-tech-adjacent people.

I really liked Sophie’s presentation on Fashion and Systems. One point in particular has stayed with me: it’s never been easier to make things, but it’s also never been harder to sell them.

This isn’t just true of fashion, but all products. It is the issue at the heart of modern marketing.
